A short video showing the delivery of fish to Pinecrest Lake.

Pinecrest Lake – Open

Last Plant:  June 9, 2017
Planted: 1,500 fish/1,200 lbs.  Total fish planted to date:  10,530

Many 1-3 lb. trout being caught in the lake.   Troller’s have been using blades with nightcrawlers (doing really well), also using Kastmasters or Needlefish behind the blades.  Lead core fisherman going down three colors with blades and crawlers.  Fishing at the inlet:  salmon eggs, power eggs  & Rooster Tails all doing well.  Shore fishing:  Chartreuse or Rainbow power baits.

You may fish year round at Pinecrest lake. Rainbow Trout are planted on a bi-weekly basis from Memorial Weekend through mid-September.

Please be cautious in streams.  Water is moving very quick due to the snow melt above.

Beardsley Reservoir – Boat ramp access will not be available this year due to the road washing out.

Can drive to the dam, park on opposite side & walk to lake.  Use crawlers or power baits.

Clarks Fork – waters extremely fast.  Tough searching for the right holes.  Power eggs ok.

Fraiser Flat – Power eggs, salmon eggs ok.

Kennedy Meadow – Fishing is slow due to fast water.  Rooster Tails, Panther Martins or eggs are your best bet.

Stanislaus South/ Middle Fork – Fast water.                                                                                                                              .Mini crawlers and salmon eggs doing ok.                                                                                                                                     .
